Radiofrequency (RF) technology is known and used for purposes surgical already for 50 years. Over the years, then, with the development of non-invasive technologies as an alternative to surgical, radiofrequency has been wide spread and has seen enlarging its area to the aesthetic applications.

In the area of aesthetics, radiofrequency waves are used to reactivate the body's  resources, restoring the harmony of all components of wellness and beauty. In particular, by heating the deeper layers of the skin - the dermis - and simultaneously protecting those most superficial – epidermis -, radio-frequency waves act directly on the fibers of collagen that are contracted, with an evident lifting effect on the skin.

Radiofrequency (RF) is a non-ionizing electromagnetic radiation in the radio wave band that has great ability to penetrate tissues. The biophysical effect generated is the heating of tissue for molecular agitation. The RF determines the modification of the electric field of the treated area, which causes a change of electrical charge and the resistance to movement of ions and molecules (dipoles) with consequent increase of heat.
The biological effects of rising heat treated area are the improvement of microcirculation, lipolytic action and the stimulation of collagen.

On collagen (basic protein found in the connective tissue of the skin, with helical molecular structure), the deep and uniform heating of the skin structure acts causing a partial "denaturation", ie breakage of bonds intracellular which results in an immediate contraction and shortening of the three-dimensional elicoilade fiber. At the same time the temperature increase triggers a proteosintetico effect stimulating the fibroblasts to synthesize new collagen type 1 (collagen physiological Contouring). While the contraction-denaturation of protein occurs immediately, the new protein synthesis has slightly longer times and continues in the months following treatment.
